MyLive 2026: An Honour to Be Part of Live Cases

Malaysia Live (MyLive) 2026 once again brought together some of the brightest minds in interventional cardiology from Malaysia and around the world. As one of the region’s premier live interventional cardiology meetings, the conference provided an exceptional platform for learning, collaboration, and showcasing cutting-edge techniques in complex coronary interventions.

This year is back to IJN!!

I am deeply honoured to have been invited as faculty and to participate in the Day 1 Live Cases, contributing as the IVUS operator during Live Session 3 alongside an outstanding international faculty. The session featured complex calcium modification cases, including rotational atherectomy (ROTA), orbital atherectomy system (OAS), OCT-guided PCI, and advanced intravascular imaging.

Live case demonstrations remain one of the most valuable educational formats in interventional cardiology. Unlike pre-recorded cases, they allow participants to witness real-time clinical decision-making, troubleshooting, and the collaborative discussions that occur during challenging procedures. Every decision—from lesion preparation to imaging interpretation and stent optimisation—offers practical learning points that can immediately translate into daily clinical practice.

Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) continues to play an increasingly important role in modern PCI. It enables accurate lesion assessment, optimisation of calcium modification strategies, appropriate device sizing, and confirmation of optimal procedural results. The integration of imaging with advanced plaque modification technologies is rapidly becoming the standard of care for complex coronary interventions.

One of the greatest highlights of MyLive 2026 was the opportunity to work alongside internationally renowned operators and experts while exchanging experiences with colleagues from across Asia-Pacific. These collaborations continue to elevate the standard of coronary intervention and ultimately improve patient outcomes.
